Are you an enthusiastic Maintenance Specialist with expertise in mechanical systems?

Do you aspire to advance your professional journey?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

The Facilities Management team is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our multidisciplinary maintenance crew, primarily serving the York region.

This department is responsible for the management, development, upkeep, and operational support of the organization's facilities and engineering systems. The role is essential to the busy maintenance support service, offering a diverse range of engineering tasks for you to refine your skills.

This position provides a significant opportunity to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of various engineering systems within the organization’s clinical and non-clinical environments, contributing to a team focused on enhancing the quality and safety of healthcare facilities.

The successful candidate will be stationed at a primary facility but must be adaptable to work at various sites as required. Flexibility in working hours is essential, and participation in necessary training, including Health and Safety protocols, will be expected.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of building services and engineering maintenance, supported by relevant qualifications such as a BTEC, City and Guilds Craft Certificate, or NVQ Level 3 in an engineering field, preferably mechanical engineering.
