About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control System Engineer to join our team at Wartens Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing industrial control systems, including hardware and software solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing mission-critical solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Resolving hardware and software challenges as a key team member in assigned solution areas.
  • Designing and configuring cyber-secure infrastructure and communications using industry-standard protocols.
  • Understanding and complying with operational procedures and both internal and external standards.
  • Supervising assembly and electrical testing of solution hardware, including functional safety systems.
  • Installing and commissioning solutions on customer sites.
  • Providing support and mentoring to junior engineers.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in control system project delivery, including design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Basic understanding of electrical system drawings, including GA's, wiring schematics, and termination diagrams.
  • Strong fundamental electrical knowledge and ability to interpret system drawings.
  • Solid grasp of general IT/OT technologies and development methodologies.
  • Awareness and understanding of Quality Management System procedures.
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating System configuration and lockdown.
  • Familiarity with network switch and firewall configuration and network management packages.
  • Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar qualification.
  • Experience in a structured project delivery lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with Siemens PLCs/HMIs, DCS, and Drives.
