About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Information Security Analyst to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will be responsible for managing and resolving complex business and technical issues related to information security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical, procedural, and policy advice to business stakeholders and engineers
  • Review requests to ensure they comply with company policy and best security practice
  • Conduct in-depth risk assessments and threat modeling
  • Present findings to management and recommend solutions
  • Mentor and educate junior and senior colleagues
  • Lead strategic initiatives to ensure cybersecurity is integrated across the business
  • Ensure risks are raised and comprehensively explained
  • Provide subject matter expertise on information security
  • Evaluate requests from suppliers to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Deliver weekly reporting to management and stakeholders
  • Coordinate complex incident response and recovery
Requirements
  • Strong technical understanding of security
  • Experience working in a hybrid on-premises Active Directory environment
  • Clear understanding of common Identity and Access Management topics
  • Familiarity with common Mobile Device and Endpoint Management solutions
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Defender suite of products
  • Awareness of Email and Web Security Gateway technologies
  • Ability to understand corporate networks and firewall solutions
  • Consideration of security in purchased Software-as-a-Service products
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 suite of applications
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft enterprise services
  • Familiarity with AI tooling and productivity tools
  • Proficiency in Information and Records Management and Data Loss Prevention
  • Ideal experience with Virtual Desktop services and workstation deployment options
  • Awareness of common hosting infrastructure options
  • Ability to understand and assess integrations between systems
  • Nice to have knowledge of AWS, Azure, Oracle, GCP, and SAP Clouds
  • Risk Management experience and understanding of Risk Management Frameworks
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills
  • Appreciation of containerization technologies
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, load balancing, and API gateways
  • Working knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet
  • In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10, Mitre ATT&CK, NIST frameworks, PCI-DSS, and Cyber Kill Chain
  • Familiarity with PAM, EDR, AV, IPS, SIEM, WAF, and DLP technologies
  • Ability to verify solutions and gain assurance that they are fit for purpose
  • Strong understanding of the changing threat landscape
  • Ability to challenge concerns and report through appropriate channels
  • Self-drive, motivation, and ability to work independently
  • Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth understanding of data and security risks in a large enterprise
Desirable Qualifications
  • Graduate in computer science or cybersecurity
  • One or more of the following security qualifications: CompTIA Security+, GIAC GX-CS, OSCP, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
  • One or more of the following technical qualifications: CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA)
  • One or more of the following governance qualifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • One or more of the following cloud qualifications: CompTIA Cloud+, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK)
