We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our property team at EG On The Move. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of sites, working to obtain planning consents for various developments, including new roadside services and mixed-use projects.
Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will instruct and liaise with consultants to promote development through the planning process. Your duties will include producing site assessments, providing planning advice, and coordinating with the Acquisitions team and Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning Review: Liaise with the Acquisitions team and coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely progress.
- Site Assessments: Produce comprehensive site assessments, including policy analysis, planning history, and material considerations.
- Planning Advice: Provide expert advice on emerging planning policy and its implications for our business.
- Kick-off Meetings: Facilitate effective kick-off meetings to ensure project success.
- Consultant Team: Identify and advise on suitable consultant firms and disciplines.
- Planning Issues: Identify and follow up on specific planning issues with consultants and Project Managers.
- In-House Planning: Manage in-house planning applications, if applicable.
- Project Management: Work with Project Managers on planning issues, including strategy to secure approval.
- Review Meetings: Participate in review meetings with the consultant team and Project Managers.
- Condition Discharge: Manage Condition Discharge, including submission and coordination with the Highway Manager and Project Manager.
- Enforcement: Manage in-house enforcement.
- Graduate Development: Coach and develop the Graduate Planner to maximize their performance.
- Appeals: Manage the appeal process.
- S.73 Applications: Manage S.73 applications, including submission and in-house management.
- Consultant Framework Reviews: Conduct reviews of consultant frameworks.
