We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team. Our organization is a prominent player in the healthcare sector, specializing in a wide array of pharmaceutical products, vaccines, and veterinary health solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert technical guidance and practical support for microbiological and sterility testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to conduct investigations, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to aseptic manufacturing processes.
  • Support the testing of finished goods and intermediates, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant pharmacopoeial standards.
  • Oversee the testing of all samples submitted to the microbiology and sterility department, ensuring compliance with quality guidelines.
  • Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff on updated testing methods and maintain accurate training documentation.
  • Lead environmental monitoring meetings and prepare comprehensive trend reports.
  • Contribute data for Product Quality Reviews as necessary.
  • Utilize SAP for timely completion of results and maintain up-to-date specifications for microbiological tests.
  • Assist laboratory leads in ensuring successful completion and verification of CAPA initiatives.
  • Provide support to production teams regarding quality control testing-related manufacturing challenges.
  • Act as the health and safety representative for the quality control department, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist in scheduling laboratory work and arranging coverage for absences.
  • Collaborate with procurement and quality assurance teams on changes involving external suppliers of testing materials.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a laboratory environment with a strong understanding of microbiological testing.

Skills: Proficiency in SAP/LIMS is desirable, along with project management capabilities. Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is essential.

Education: A degree in Microbiology or a related field is required.

Attributes: Excellent report writing, protocol development, and hypothesis formulation skills. A flexible approach to changing priorities is crucial.
