About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement & Supply Chain Expert to join our team at MBDA. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our procurement systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysis of key trends and issues in procurement and supply chain management
  • Trend and performance analysis of key data and performance indicators for the procurement and supply chain team
  • Preparation of Bills of Materials reports to ensure robust cost target and achievement tracking for product lifecycle activities
  • Supporting procurement system readiness for product lifecycle activities and throughout the product lifecycle management processes
  • Acting as a change agent in completing process continuous improvement projects within the procurement and supply chain team
  • Supporting the development of the function and all systems in processes in line with the procurement and supply chain roadmap
  • Handling the delivery of process development activities within the function
  • Assisting in the development of and supervising the efficiency of appropriate governance systems within procurement and supply chain
  • Preparing detailed briefs and reports for senior management reviews, including potential issues and risks and recommendations
  • Providing functional training on analyzing data to the department
  • Providing analytical expertise and support regarding the development and improvement of processes, tools, and templates
Requirements
  • Suitable qualification in business, finance, or a relevant supply chain discipline (or validated experience in an analytical role)
  • Commercial savvy
  • Passion for continuous improvement
  • Good team building and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good knowledge of cost make-up and pricing
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP (preferably Materials Management or Finance)
  • Ability to operate within a European cultural framework
  • Good project management skills
  • Awareness of risk management
  • Highly developed planning and organization skills
  • Experience of analyzing business improvements
  • Familiarization of data analytical software packages (i.e. Power BI, Google Analytics, Dataiku etc.)
