We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join our team at TEKNE Shopfitting. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the costs of contracts from receipt of order through to final account.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cost Control: Develop and implement effective cost control strategies to ensure that contracts are delivered within budget.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate the production and site programmes to ensure deadlines are met and quality maintained.
- Customer Care: Deliver high-quality customer care and ensure that all stakeholders are satisfied with the service provided.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, customers, and internal teams.
Key Tasks:
- Tender Management: Receive and acknowledge tender enquiries, prepare and send out tender documentation to sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Site Visits: Arrange site visits as necessary to ensure that projects are progressing according to plan.
- Meetings: Attend meetings with clients, customers, and internal teams to discuss project progress and address any issues.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit tender documentation, including contract agreements and invoices.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Estimating/Contracts Director on project progress and any issues that may arise.
Health and Safety:
- Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and that all necessary documentation is completed.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Training: Provide training to site staff on health and safety procedures and ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities.
Other Duties:
- Communication: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, customers, and internal teams.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems that may arise during projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure that they are efficient and effective.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of cost control and project coordination.
- Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in a related field, such as construction management or business administration.
