We are delighted to be supporting a reputable Civil Engineering Main contractor in their search for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a major Highways upgrade scheme in Cornwall.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company that has built a great reputation and grown impressively over the years, with a strong presence in Exeter and Cornwall.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site, delivering safely to time, and meeting customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing a team to ensure the successful delivery of the project
  • Managing site operations, including supervising workers, subcontractors, and work activities
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including clients and project teams
  • Managing budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver the project on time and within budget

This is a great opportunity to put your stamp on the scheme, as you'll be involved from the outset and have the potential for long-term contract work.

Requirements include:

  • Site Managers CSCS (Platinum or Black) card
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
  • ONC/HNC/Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
  • Previous experience in Civil Engineering Projects, with a focus on site management and delivery
  • Full UK driving licence

Technically aware, you'll have sound knowledge of infrastructure delivery and a track record of delivering high-profile projects. Some client-side experience would be a bonus.

As the appointed Project Manager, you'll have a valid SMSTS and CSCS card, and a strong understanding of the project's requirements and objectives.
