FryerMiles, a fast-growing travel company, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Manager to join their team. This role will play a crucial part in helping to develop the growth of the business, centered around financial management and reporting of the UK and international travel business.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the travel industry, with a proven track record of financial planning and analysis.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Support the implementation of operational and financial systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely submission of financial reports.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain regular reviews to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal controls.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, variances, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
  • Work with external auditors and regulatory bodies to adhere to the annual reporting timetable.
  • Stay updated with changes in industry regulations and standards, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.


Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) completed or in process.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the travel industry.
  • Ideal knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including IATA, ATOL, and ABTA reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
