Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting tests and analyses on products to verify compliance with customer and industry standards.
  • Overseeing packaging processes to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and executing calibration audits.
  • Performing sensory evaluations on finished goods.
  • Managing non-conforming products by placing them on hold as necessary.
  • Executing tasks related to environmental and effluent analysis.
  • Upholding strict hygiene standards across all production areas.
  • Collecting microbiological samples and preparing them in the on-site laboratory.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with a Three Shift Rotating pattern (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00-06:00).

Candidate Profile

The successful Laboratory Technician will possess:

  • A qualification in Food Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a similar laboratory role.
  • Background in a manufacturing environment.
  • A high level of responsibility and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting salary of £27,000, increasing to £28,700 post-probation.
