Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Chef to join our team at Busy Bees Nurseries. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks to our children, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • To cook and provide high-quality, nutritious, and freshly prepared meals and snacks, in line with food hygiene and safety regulations.

  • To comply with the company's procedures relating to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
  • To maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week. As an Assistant Chef, you will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing meals for our children. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest quality.

Requirements

  • A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a childcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for providing high-quality food and excellent customer service.
