We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Cannock. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Technical Function and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and all regulatory bodies.
- Ensure clearly defined, documented quality, technical processes, procedures, and controls exist and deal with non-conformances promptly, ensuring that remedial actions required are put in place.
- Report technical performance of the customer, both internally and externally, ensuring relevant internal personnel are fully aware of technical status and issues which require their input to improve.
- Work closely with the Production department, Service Departments, and warehouse to drive improvement in technical standards and performance (product, process, and environmental).
- Manage all aspects of health and safety, including new starter inductions, risk assessments, fire management, first aiders, staff well-being, housekeeping inspections, training, RAMs, coordinating annual health surveillance checks, etc., and reporting on H&S performance to senior management.
- Experience of SDS/e-SDS authoring or keen to learn.
- Working knowledge of the COSHH Regulations (Risk Assessments).
- Level 3 Qualified in Occupational Health & Safety Management/Good current knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations.
