Access Control Analyst

Job Overview
The role involves working within the SystmOne Team to ensure secure and appropriate access management to both National and Local systems, safeguarding electronic records in accordance with the NHS Care Records Guarantee. The position supports compliance with relevant legislation and national policies regarding access management for various applications, including those that utilize Smartcard technology. Additionally, the role provides assistance to all SystmOne users.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively assist in identifying potential risks and ensure that any identified issues are thoroughly investigated and reported in line with Trust Policy.
- Verify that all personnel requiring access to Smartcard-enabled systems undergo identity verification to EGIF Level 3, adhering to National Policy, and are issued with a properly configured Smartcard to facilitate access, thereby supporting efficient patient care while maintaining a secure audit trail.
- Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of complex information that affects all staff concerning Registration Authority (RA), Position Based Access Control (PBAC), Workgroups, Legitimate Relationships, and Information Governance policies.
- Deliver Registration Authority support across the Trust.
- Provide first-line assistance to users regarding access issues and concerns related to Smartcard-enabled systems and applications.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, effectively planning and executing tasks, often under tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Coordinate planned workloads alongside unanticipated tasks, assessing, agreeing, and adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Monitor RA stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Generate reports to fulfill the requirements of local and national RA policies and the Information Governance toolkit.
- Collaborate as part of the SystmOne operational support team, providing frontline assistance to users in response to service needs, while addressing a variety of issues, including system errors and application problems, in a professional and customer-focused manner.
