Personal Tax Manager Opportunity

TPF Recruitment is supporting a leading firm of chartered accountants in Sidcup who are seeking a Personal Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join their tax team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a top accountancy practice in a challenging position offering excellent exposure and future progression prospects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, focusing on UK individuals, HNWIs, and some trusts.
  • Lead tax planning projects such as non-domicile issues, onshore and offshore trusts, and capital gains and inheritance tax issues.
  • Review and complete complex tax returns.
  • Oversee the compliance function and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Manage HMRC enquiries and deal with HMRC correspondence of both compliance and advisory nature.
  • Develop and manage junior members of staff, providing technical and personal guidance.
  • Support the Director in the growth and development of the tax department.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will be CTA and/or ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified, with a personal tax career developed in an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm.
  • Experience will have been gained in a Top Tier, Top Ten, 50, or larger regional independent firm background, or specialist tax firm.
  • Background will likely have focused on the personal tax route with a mixed compliance and tax planning skill set.
