About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Engineer to join our team at Southwark Council. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve fleet utilization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of fleet operations with other council services.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to other team members as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and council policies.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in fleet management or a related field.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
