About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and highly professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our customers, staff, and premises at our renowned and prestigious shopping centre in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols to deter and detect criminal activity, responding swiftly and effectively to security incidents.
  • Work closely with emergency services and law enforcement agencies when required, assisting in implementing the centre's counter-terrorism strategy.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting shoppers and visitors with directions and information, while enforcing the centre's policies and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports and daily logs, maintaining detailed records of any security issues.
Requirements
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence (essential).
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Previous experience in a security role, preferably in a large retail or shopping centre environment. Ex Police or military is advantageous.
  • Strong awareness of counter-terrorism measures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to respond swiftly and efficiently to security incidents.
