Prospectus is excited to assist our client in their search for a Housing Operations Manager focused on Homelessness.
This organization is a non-profit housing association serving various regions, committed to aiding individuals requiring care and those unable to secure housing at market prices.
They achieve their mission by developing numerous vital housing units and providing care and supported housing services to a wide array of individuals.
The Housing Operations Manager will oversee the daily management of multiple supported housing programs aimed at individuals facing homelessness and complex challenges.
This role is essential in guaranteeing that the services offered are informed by psychological principles and trauma awareness, in accordance with the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the performance and oversight of services, including supported housing and community outreach/support initiatives.
- Ensuring financial oversight and the delivery of high-quality, suitable support.
- Complying with policies/procedures, health & safety standards, and risk management practices.
- Facilitating service development, including taking the operational lead in creating new services and enhancing existing ones.
- Collaborating with Scheme Managers to ensure team meetings effectively tackle key operational matters.
- Developing and assessing annual service plans in line with the strategic goals of the Supported Housing department.
This role is part of the middle management team and involves direct supervision of two scheme managers, with a focus on fostering a trauma-informed and psychologically sensitive approach to service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in building formal partnerships with other organizations, developing operational protocols, and managing safeguarding concerns. A current NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification is required or the willingness to pursue it.
