Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to join our team in the UK on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of 2 Finance Assistants and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the UK finance function.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead on accounting operations and processes, ensuring robust financial systems and procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Lead Audit of UK statutory accounts and financial statements production.
- Monitor departmental spend monthly to help control costs versus budget.
- Preparation of EMEA budgets and forecasts, and producing actual to budget variance analysis on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of UK corporation tax returns and assisting in preparing forecasts for quarterly tax payments, where necessary.
- Responsible for adhering to Amphenol Corporate policies and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
- Review of monthly Payroll and coordination of payroll with HR Manager, through to payment of salaries and employer-related tax to HMRC.
- Annual submission of payroll returns; monthly second review of monthly payroll.
- Ad hoc reporting, which may involve undertaking due diligence assignments.
- Qualified Accountant (preferably ACA/ACCA).
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
