Manchester, United Kingdom Octopus Energy Full time
Join us in making a significant impact on the environment. Our mission is to lead the global transition to renewable energy, and we need Installation Support Specialists to facilitate the effective deployment of innovative renewable technologies - Heat Pumps, Solar Energy Solutions, and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. As an Installation Support Specialist, you will be at the forefront, assisting customers with their inquiries and preparing them for the installation of Low Carbon Technology Products. You will become proficient in guiding interested customers through the journey from inquiry to installation, ensuring they feel excited and informed about their move towards a sustainable lifestyle.

This is an entry-level position with ample opportunities for variety and ownership over customer satisfaction and expectations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring installation readiness, guiding customers through the necessary steps until they are fully prepared for installation. This includes completing additional applications, coordinating with customers and third-party providers, generating necessary documentation, scheduling installations, and much more, all while delivering the exceptional customer service we are known for.

You will be enthusiastic about the technologies we provide and eager to become an authority in explaining these to our customers. Close collaboration with other teams within Octopus will be essential to ensure seamless operations. This role is dynamic, and your ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment will be crucial. You will work cohesively with a team towards shared objectives, striving to deliver cutting-edge technology to our customers with ease.

Are you the right fit for this role?

  • We seek organized team players who embrace challenges and understand the importance of exceptional customer experience. You should thrive in a start-up atmosphere and be capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be liaising with various business teams regarding all aspects of the customer journey. Proficiency in using multiple systems and tools will be necessary to achieve results, so your organizational and problem-solving abilities will be put to the test.
  • Empathy is key – our field teams encounter challenges such as traffic and inclement weather; customers with busy schedules do not want to wait indefinitely for their appointments. Your understanding of their circumstances will enable you to make informed decisions.
  • Adaptability is vital – this is a new role that will evolve into areas we have yet to envision. It is important that you are open to new challenges and willing to take on additional responsibilities as the position develops. Experience in the energy sector would provide a valuable advantage.

Why you will appreciate working here:

  • Competitive salary of £24,300
  • Share options in Octopus Energy Group
  • Octopus Energy fosters a unique culture where individuals learn, decide, and innovate rapidly. We value autonomy and collaboration with a diverse group of co-owners on groundbreaking projects. We aim to reward your hard work with meaningful benefits.
If this resonates with you, we would love to hear from you. We are committed to providing you with the tools and environment necessary to reach your full potential. Do you require specific accommodations? We are dedicated to customizing your interview process to ensure your comfort and maximize your experience. Studies indicate that certain groups, such as women, may hesitate to apply unless they meet all job requirements. Regardless of your background, if you are interested in one of our positions, we encourage you to apply, as you may be the candidate we are looking for. At Octopus, we value genuinely decent individuals who are honest and empathetic. Our people are our greatest asset, and the unique skills and perspectives they bring to the team drive our success. As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate based on any protected characteristic. We are committed to providing equal opportunities, fostering an inclusive work environment, and ensuring fairness for all.
