About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Manchester. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs and disabilities, helping them to develop their academic, social, and emotional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviors
  • Work with students across all Key Stages
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the needs of students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support system
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs and disabilities
  • Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviors
  • Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent qualification
  • Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
