Position Overview:
We are seeking an Engineering Stores Coordinator for a road-based role that involves nationwide travel from Monday to Friday.

Company Background:
Our client is a well-established engineering firm looking for a dedicated individual to support a prominent FMCG client with advanced milling facilities across the UK. The primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize all aspects of the client's stores and inventory operations.

Key Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring that the stores deliver effective support to both production and engineering departments. This includes maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring that all components related to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and preventive maintenance are properly managed.

  • Oversee the management and operation of an engineering stores facility.
  • Utilize the CMMS inventory system to monitor stock levels and conduct audits.
  • Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to accurately locate and issue parts for scheduled work.
  • Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate records for the Finance Team.
  • Process job cards to uphold precise stock levels.
  • Identify and manage critical spare parts and obsolescent stock.
  • Record and monitor all engineering expenditures promptly.
  • Engage with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of essential parts.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure high-priority responsibilities are addressed efficiently.
  • Contribute significantly to shutdown planning and organization to facilitate successful operations.

Compensation:
The role includes a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000, depending on experience, along with fully covered travel expenses and a company vehicle if necessary.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong command of English with excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Maximo is a plus; training will be provided if needed.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly Excel.
  • Previous experience in a stores or inventory management role.
  • Experience in stock control.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong time management skills to effectively plan and achieve objectives.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours.
  • Experience in an FMCG environment is advantageous.
  • Willingness to assist team members and share knowledge.
