Junior Video Producer / Editor at Orange Fox Studios

At Orange Fox Studios, we're passionate about storytelling and filmmaking. We're looking for a Junior Video Producer / Editor to join our dynamic team of creative filmmakers.

This permanent part-time role (with the potential to become full-time) is perfect for a recent graduate, soon-to-be graduate, or freelancer looking to transition into a more stable, fixed position in the filmmaking industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepping and setting up video editing projects
  • Video editing of live projects
  • Crafting content for our social media channels (reels, highlights, etc.)
  • Ensuring films, projects and files are archived and backed up
Support & Logistics:
  • Attending and contributing to creative brainstorming sessions
  • Booking and organising voice-over recordings, crew, and actors
  • Planning and coordinating logistics for film shoots
  • On-site film shoot support
Administrative & Research:
  • Conducting project research and gathering creative inspiration
  • Maintaining and updating our freelancer databases
  • Creation of mood-boards & storyboards

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro) is essential and preferably we're looking for at least 2 years of experience. But, it's not a deal-breaker – we're happy to provide training to get you up to speed.

What's most important is that you have a strong interest in video editing and see this as a career path you're excited to pursue.

Essential Skills:
  • Basic Video Editing Skills: Familiarity with editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects efficiently
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail in video edits and visual aesthetics
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives on working with others to bring a shared creative vision to life
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to challenges and tight deadlines
  • Communication Skills: Video/Media Production, Photography)
  • Basic knowledge of video production equipment (cameras, lighting, sound)
  • Experience with other Adobe Creative Suite programs (After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Social media savvy with an understanding of video content creation for different platforms
  • Research skills for identifying creative trends and inspiration

We offer a creative environment where you'll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to take your skills to the next level. There is scope for promotion to a full-time Video Producer or creative lead within the business as we aim to scale.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: £13 per hour (reviewed annually)
  • Generous Holiday allowance: 30 days + bank holidays and your birthday off fully paid (pro-rata)
