Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Support Chef to join our Group Hospitality team, working closely with the Regional Support Chef North and the Group Hospitality and Catering Manager to develop training and support materials for our Care Homes' Catering teams.
This field-based role will require the successful candidate to travel to our Care Homes in the South, ensuring that our culinary standards are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs to drive quality and compliance in food preparation and presentation.
- Manage food-related projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our culinary goals.
- Liaise with the Group Hospitality Manager to create regular chef's forums and training sessions, addressing the needs of our Care Homes.
- Audit kitchen operations to ensure that food quality, presentation, and service meet our defined standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Care Homes' management and kitchen teams through regular communication and support.
Requirements:
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Team player with a willingness to participate in vocational training programs.
- Satisfactory DBS result and good references.
- Experience in catering services, food preparation, and presentation.
- Understanding of food hygiene regulations and Health and Safety at Work Act.
