Our client is seeking a skilled Spray Operator to become a vital part of their operations team. In this capacity, you will oversee the daily spray activities, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety protocols for yourself and your colleagues.
- Adhere to Risk Assessments as required.
- Keep accurate records of spraying activities and pre-use inspections.
- Ensure all necessary documentation for audits is consistently updated.
- Conduct spray operations in compliance with relevant COSHH assessments.
- Calibrate spraying equipment to apply the correct dosage to crops.
- Prepare spray machinery for annual NSTS evaluations.
- Perform general maintenance on spraying equipment as needed.
- Accumulate CPD points to uphold NRoSO registration.
- Dispose of pesticide containers in accordance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of pesticides and their applications, along with integrated crop management techniques, with a commitment to ongoing training.
- Experience in a comparable role.
- Prior experience in spraying operations.
- A recognized qualification (such as PA1, PA6) and experience in tractor operation, with training available for suitable candidates.
- A focus on enhancing knowledge of pesticides and their applications through training.
Additional Information:
A valid UK/EU Driving Licence is essential for this position. Flexibility in working hours is required, including potential weekend and Bank Holiday shifts. The compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary of up to £33,000 per annum.
