Software Engineer for Quantum Computing

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Cambridge-based quantum software team. As a key member of our team, you will develop and deliver cloud infrastructure and application services for our quantum computing platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure and application services for our quantum computing platform
  • Collaborate with our research and software teams to improve the platform's usability and reliability
  • Develop software using Python, Rust, or Modern C++ and deploy it to cloud-based AWS or Azure platforms
  • Work closely with our team to make using quantum computing resources as simple as sending an email
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Confidence in leading engineering discussions and decision making
  • Experience developing in Python
  • Experience working with Postgresql or similar database technologies
  • Experience working with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Experience deploying software to managed cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc
  • Experience working with or a desire to learn Rust
  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Science or Engineering
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working in Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of/Interest in Quantum Computing
  • Knowledge of common distributed system architectures
  • Experience developing in Typescript
