Position Overview: As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will ensure the smooth operation of our events on a daily basis. You will oversee attendance, coordinate materials, and deliver outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in L&D coordination or event management, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, be proactive, and exhibit strong attention to detail.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for customer service and administrative coordination for our clients. You will be supported by our full-time business administration apprentice and will report to our Head of Marketing and Operations. This role is dynamic and varied, with responsibilities including:

Event Coordination

  • Overseeing logistics for our educational events and programs
  • Analyzing feedback from workshops and preparing actionable plans
  • Occasionally providing on-site support for in-person learning events

Marketing & Sales

  • Engaging with key stakeholders, clients, and prospects (in person, over the phone, or via email)
  • Managing our pipeline through our CRM system
  • Some experience with email marketing or automation for campaigns
  • Handling incoming business inquiries and converting them into new opportunities

· Managing the client journey from initial engagement to booking, payment, and logistics

Finance

  • Overseeing cash flow and reconciling all financial transactions
  • Creating invoices, quotes, bills, purchase orders, and credit notes
  • Coordinating with external providers to ensure timely payments

Administration

  • Providing client support to enhance their understanding of our products and services
  • Assisting with administrative tasks for the team and CEO
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with internal and external stakeholders
  • Being proactive and able to anticipate needs to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications or Skills:

  • A background in learning and development or human resources is desirable
  • CIPD Certificate in L&D (or similar) is preferred but not mandatory
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and web-based software

Additional Information:

· Salary range of £28,000-£32,000 FTE, based on experience.

· Pension contribution.
