About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team at Arnold Clark. As a key member of our fire safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our branches in England meet the highest standards of fire safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with employees at all levels to advise and assist with fire safety standards, offering support and guidance.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Liaise with building control and enforcing authorities to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Attend pre-start meetings to review fire safety plans and strategies.
  • Review fire strategy drawings and plans to ensure they meet fire safety standards.
  • Conduct post-incident investigations to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Act as a point of contact for enforcing authorities, architects, and building control.
Requirements
  • Fire Safety Levels 3 and 4 (Auditors / Enforcers) certification.
  • Fire Risk Assessment training (e.g. CS Todd or similar).
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Good up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation.
  • Ability to work well with others and make decisions under pressure.
  • A high level of accuracy and the ability to multi-task.
