Manufacturing Project Manager

General Dynamics Mission Systems - United Kingdom is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Project Manager to join our innovative Manufacturing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in the development and implementation of manufacturing projects, working on both avionics systems and armoured vehicle communication systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage bid costings for manufacturing projects, including assumptions and risks, and create proposed schedules for manufacture.
- Review and approve Statements of Work (SOW), ensuring they are loaded to the MRP system and budget requirements match the bid submission. Hold kick-off meetings to inform key stakeholders of requirements and set responsibilities.
- Support the programme team in creating and developing risk logs, master project schedules, and reviews, ensuring they remain updated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Responsible for updating the headcount database with the latest data.
- Creation of a Production Readiness Review for each project.
- Manage manufacturing spend against the budget, through monthly ETC reviews.
- Identify new opportunities and work with stakeholders to grow the department.
- Ideal candidate will have the Associate Project Management Qualification or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team and work independently, prioritizing workload.
- Capable of working on numerous tasks in parallel.
- Understanding of MRP system and scheduling.
- Experience using Microsoft Office software.
- A starting salary of £35,840 to £44,800, dependent on experience, and an attractive flexible benefits package.
