Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our team, working a total of 4 sessions per week, specifically on Mondays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering patient care through a combination of in-person and telephonic consultations.

About Our Practice

Colliery Court Medical Group is a well-established, supportive, and innovative GMS practice located in a convenient area. We serve a patient population of approximately 8,250 individuals.

• Our clinical team includes 4 GPs, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, a Student Nurse Associate, a GP Assistant, and a Pharmacist.
• We have a friendly and experienced management, administrative, and reception team.

General Practitioner Responsibilities

The role involves examining patients, diagnosing health issues, and prescribing suitable treatments. You will also address patients' health-related inquiries.

You should be capable of conveying the seriousness of diagnoses while providing reassurance to distressed patients and suggesting appropriate referrals when necessary.

General Practitioner Requirements

• Medical Degree.
• Registration with the relevant health professions board.
• Proven experience as a General Practitioner.
• Adherence to health and ethical standards.
• A personable and supportive demeanor.
• Strong triage and workload management skills.
• Excellent administrative capabilities.

Qualifications

Essential

• Qualified GP.
• MRCGP.
• General Practitioner (CCT).
• Full GMC Registration.
• National Performers List Registration.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills.
• Effective time management.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Punctual and dedicated to team success.
• Polite and confident in interactions.
• Ability to adhere to clinical policies and procedures.
• Eligibility to practice in the UK.
• Outstanding clinical knowledge and skills.

Desirable

• Experience with QOF and clinical audits.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web.
