Functional Area: Health, Safety & Environment

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is seeking a creative and people-focused HSE professional to join their team. As a key member of the operational site, you will work closely with the site teams to provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental issues.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide independent, expert, and professional advice and guidance to site teams on health, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with operational teams to eliminate and reduce risks, promote a high standard of health, safety, and environmental awareness, and adhere to HSE standards and rules.
  • Actively participate in and promote a high standard of health, safety, and environmental awareness.
  • Produce and contribute to health, safety, and environment-related documentation required by the allocated offshore operations site and for other UK operation sites.
  • Support and advise line/project management in meeting their HSE responsibility, including risk assessments, with technical, organizational, and procedural advice.
  • Work with the wider HSE team to assist in continuous improvement activities and improve HSE management system processes.

Your Profile

  • Hold a NEBOSH Certificate, ideally working towards a NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Hold a IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
  • Ideally hold an audit qualification such as ISO 45001/14001 internal auditor.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels through verbal and written communication, including advanced listening skills.
  • Experience as an HSE professional for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Experience in behavioural safety techniques and delivering behavioural safety training would be desirable.
  • Effective organisational skills, a consistent, systematic, positive, and pragmatic approach, and ability to work in a time-sensitive setting, team-oriented.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Good health, with general all-round fitness to work in an offshore environment.
  • The role will be based at London Array Offshore Wind Farm at the Port of Ramsgate, and we are looking for candidates who live within ~45 minutes of commuting distance.
