About the Role
As a freelance interpreter and translator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality interpreting and translation services to our clients. This will involve working in various settings, including the NHS, local authorities, police, probation, and other public and private organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
- Ensuring accurate communication between service users and providers
- Working in conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting settings
- Handling confidential information with discretion
- Liaising between service users and providers to ensure effective communication
Requirements
- Fluent English and another language
- Right to work in the UK
- Aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications in interpreting or translation, such as DPSI, Community Interpreting, or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
