Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the Role
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing front-line delivery of maintenance, defect, and breakdown response, as well as pre-planned maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete new and alteration works to comply with BS7671 during and outside of normal hours.
- Undertake maintenance, repairs, minor improvements, and capital work across the Trust as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
- Undertake risk assessments as required for work in hazardous areas, taking account of all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury, and prevent damage to equipment.

Requirements
- Completed time-served recognized apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
- Completion of a structured training program in electrical engineering.
- A high degree of accuracy required during test procedures, with the ability to ensure attention to detail when compiling verbal and written reports.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical and building plant and equipment experience.
- Medical gas systems experience.
- Ventilation systems experience.
