Job Title: Specialist Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Health Nurse to join our Anticoagulation team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Anticoagulation Specialist Nurse to work in a highly specialized team caring for patients receiving oral or parenteral anticoagulation treatment.

The ideal candidate will possess a non-medical prescribing qualification and have a portfolio of evidence showing achievements in practice/specialty.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate personal development needs and demonstrate knowledge of audit/research recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care and support to patients receiving anticoagulation treatment
  • Develop and implement clinical leadership skills to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
Requirements
  • Minimum of Band 5 practitioner level
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Portfolio of evidence showing achievements in practice/specialty
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to articulate personal development needs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of audit/research recommendations
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday, usually between 08:00-17:00. The unit is closed on all bank holidays.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £37,338 to £44,962 a year (Pro Rata). The NHS offers a range of benefits, including pension schemes, annual leave, and training opportunities.
