Financial Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Workingmums. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, developing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including management accounts and financial statements.
  • Provide financial advice and support to aid business decisions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Monitor and control day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and cash flow, while adhering to organizational budgets.
  • Assist in budgetary planning and the setting of annual budgets, providing forecasts and trend analysis.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including monthly and annual reports for year-end audit.
  • Contract auditing and reconciliation services to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures, minimizing financial risk.
  • Manage employee pension payments and liaise with payroll and pension providers.
  • Be the key contact for HMRC taxation matters.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Expertise in financial statements preparation and accounting.
  • Experience in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Experience with financial software and systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus.
