Job Summary

MassHire Lowell Career Center is seeking a skilled Electromagnetic Systems Technician to join our team. As an RF Test and Troubleshooting Expert, you will be responsible for testing, tuning, and troubleshooting mid-range to highly complex military RF microwave hybrid assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform tests, tune, and troubleshoot RF microwave hybrid assemblies using state-of-the-art test equipment.
  • Test units over temperature, during vibration, and mechanical shock, and put units into burn-in ovens.
  • Use computer systems to retrieve test procedures, assembly drawings, and schematics, and input test yield data.
  • Perform electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units.
  • Collaborate with RF Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering to develop procedures and troubleshoot products to specifications.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in testing, tuning, and troubleshooting RF microwave hybrid assemblies.
  • Familiarity with RF equipment, including RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers/Low Noise Analysis, Signal Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Meters, and Client Network Analyzers.
  • Ability to work under a microscope and utilize hand tools, such as torque drivers, tweezers, and other similar tools.
  • Good dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings.
  • Good computer skills to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions, as well as other job activities.
  • Experience operating computer-driven mechanical vibration equipment.
  • Experience soldering components in accordance with J-STD- to support the tuning process.
  • Experience with data analysis of RF microwave test data.
  • Experience in writing test procedures and troubleshooting from schematics.
  • Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD controlled environment.
  • High School Diploma required (no Bachelor's degree required).
Working Conditions:

This is a Weekend Shift position, working 12 hours a day, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 5:00am to 5:30pm.
