Job Title: Central Editor

We are seeking an experienced Central Editor to join our team at Reach plc, a leading commercial publisher in the UK. As a Central Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth distribution of content across our various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and direct messaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an optimized workflow to support the distribution of news titles across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Editor to ensure the team's work is impactful and efficient, and that best practices are followed.
  • Provide regular group-wide updates and guidance on platform and topic performance.
  • Manage a team, creating a supportive and efficient working environment.
  • Work shifts on a rota pattern, including weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Requirements:
  • NCTJ or equivalent qualification.
  • Media law knowledge and a proven track record of working at Editor level in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
  • Experience in digital publishing, audience engagement, and distribution.
  • Good up-to-date knowledge of how content is distributed through social and secure channels.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
