Job Title: Experienced Plant Manager

Astute People's Renewables team is partnered with a leading renewable energy provider, operating a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants and composting sites in the UK. We are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager for our site in North London.

Job Summary

The Plant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the site operates at optimal levels, maintaining high health and safety standards. The role comes with a competitive salary of up to £57,500 + bonus, company van, and excellent benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise process plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Manage feedstock processing and planning to meet site requirements
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on plant efficiency, trends, and data analysis
  • Develop solutions to technical variances and site maintenance issues
  • Coordinate with external contractors and manage site relationships
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Manage on-site colleagues, including Operators and Engineers
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering qualification, such as chemical or mechanical
  • WAMITAB AD qualification or equivalent
  • Mobile Plant licence or time-served experience
  • Full UK driving licence
Personal Qualities
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role in anaerobic digestion or waste processing
  • Hands-on approach and ability to lead by example
  • Excellent computer literacy and analytical skills
  • Passion for renewable energy and continuous improvement
