About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Litigation Coordinator to join our team at Northern Powergrid. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of damage claims, communicating with third parties, and resolving disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of damage claims ranging from £100 to £1m+ in a timely manner within the Delegations of Authority.
  • Establish key customer contacts and manage down their debt.
  • Use IT applications including Solcase, GIS, EamEam Spatial, OMS, and Oracle to track and resolve claims.
  • Apply and understand the principles of relevant legislation and guidance notes when handling damage claims.
  • Handle technical and legal queries and disputes.
  • Identify problematic claims and determine the best course of action.
  • Understand the costing of damage repairs and the associated overheads.
  • Apply strong customer service skills when handling disputes/queries.
  • Support the claims admin team and other litigation coordinators.
  • Progress claims into Litigation for resolution.
  • Work closely with our external legal service providers.
  • Meet with third parties or their representatives on occasions to resolve liability and/or quantum issues.
