Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to lead our Clinical Biochemistry core laboratory team. As a team leader, you will be responsible for driving significant change and consolidating our reception and laboratory services for Blood Sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Clinical Biochemistry core laboratory team to achieve high-quality results and excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve laboratory efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Support the development of laboratory automation and ensure compliance with UKAS accreditation and IBMS approval.
  • Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and support further study opportunities.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • MSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of driving change and improving performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
