Transport Planner Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our dynamic team at Bespoke Recruitment Services. As a Transport Planner, you will play a key role in the planning and coordination of our pallet network operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and schedule daily transport operations for the pallet network, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal routes.
  2. Coordinate with drivers, warehouses, and customers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  3. Monitor and manage transport compliance, safety, and legal requirements to maintain high standards.
  4. Resolve operational issues or delays in a proactive and efficient manner, minimizing disruptions to our operations.
  5. Liaise with the wider operations team to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in transport planning, particularly within the pallet network sector.
  2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Proficient in transport management software and systems, with a focus on route optimization and delivery tracking.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers.
  5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
