Your Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering pharmaceutical care that meets the health and well-being needs of our patients. You will work closely with the pharmacy department and other hospital areas responsible for managing medications.

  • Provide technical support to the pharmacy department and ensure the safe and effective use of medicines, promoting cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to assessing patient health and well-being in relation to their medication needs.
  • Manage the movement and storage of medications effectively.
  • Establish clear communication with patients and colleagues regarding pharmacy activities and medications.
  • Maintain accurate records, data, and stock management documents.
  • Continuously develop your knowledge and skills, contributing to the professional development of others.
  • Participate in service development and implementation initiatives.
  • Ensure a safe and secure working environment for yourself and others by adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and patient rights throughout your work.
Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Technician with excellent teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • GPhC Registration
  • Level 3 NVQ qualification in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with administrative tasks such as ordering, receiving, data checking, and audits
  • Community pharmacy experience is welcome; hospital training will be provided along with comprehensive support.
