Key Responsibilities:

- Assume ownership and accountability for a clearly defined scope of work.
- Maintain a diligent and professional attitude towards all tasks and responsibilities.
- Conduct measurements from architectural drawings and isometric diagrams to generate comprehensive and accurately priced bills of quantities, including labor hours and material expenses.
- Monitor costs and labor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze the Project Hours Expended versus the Earned schedule.
- Execute a thorough construction take-off, develop a construction cost plan, and oversee cost and labor efficiency throughout the project.
- Present take-offs in a clear and organized manner while adhering to NRM2 standards and protocols.
- Ensure timely and precise CCS submissions on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and verify the timing and accuracy of monthly valuation submissions and certification agreements.
- Generate timely and accurate assessments, payment certificates, and payless notices for subcontractors each month, ensuring compliance with payment conditions outlined in the Construction Act.
- Produce timely and precise cash flow reports on a monthly basis.
- Guarantee that the final account is settled within the designated project timeline.
- Protect the company from potential third-party claims.
- Prepare subcontract packages for procurement, negotiate contracts, and manage them through to final account resolution.
- Strive to gain a thorough understanding of assigned tasks, recognizing their significance and how they contribute to the overall project.
- Engage in research related to RICS competencies and actively pursue development in these areas.
- Proactively seek guidance from senior Quantity Surveyors for personal and professional growth.
- Focus on continuous improvement by actively seeking opportunities to engage in new tasks that enhance development, such as tasks not previously undertaken or by shadowing senior QS or other team members.
- Request regular feedback from senior QS regarding completed tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in a prefabrication role would be advantageous.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is required.
