Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney to enhance its growing team. The successful candidate will possess substantial post-qualification experience in civil litigation and will be responsible for managing all facets of their cases from the pre-litigation phase through to appeals, if necessary.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal applicant will demonstrate a proactive approach in formulating and executing effective litigation strategies, both independently and collaboratively.
- Overseeing a civil litigation caseload from initiation to resolution.
- Providing mentorship and support to junior legal staff and assistants within the department.
- Representing clients in court proceedings, both in person and via remote means.
- Managing correspondence and telephone communications.
- Keeping clients informed through regular updates via email, letters, or phone calls regarding the status of their cases.
- Coordinating with the finance department to ensure proper allocation of funds in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Ensuring adherence to the professional conduct guidelines.
The candidate must be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience in Litigation.
- Proficient in utilizing Case Management Systems.
- Commitment to meeting Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
- Ability to efficiently manage an individual caseload.
- Skilled in setting client expectations and addressing any arising concerns in line with company policies.
- Experience in handling litigation from the initiation of proceedings through to trial, including participation in Case Management Conferences and making necessary applications.
- Experience in instructing and attending conferences with legal counsel.
