Job Title: Experienced Litigation

We are seeking a skilled and experienced litigation professional to join our team in Preston. As a pre-litigation fee earner, you will play a crucial role in progressing high-volume caseloads of Fast Track Personal Injury RTA Portal claims following the MOJ process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a high-volume caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury RTA Portal claims, ensuring timely and professional advice to clients.
  2. Progress cases in a manner that meets client expectations, while maintaining regular contact and providing pertinent legal advice.
  3. Identify cases suitable for litigation and escalate them expeditiously, working closely with a recognised solicitor within the team.
  4. Instruct barristers to represent clients at hearings and obtain formal advice on quantum.
  5. Liaise with third parties, including medical agencies and engineers, to ensure seamless case progression.
  6. Undertake other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.
Person Specification:
  1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of the MOJ process.
  2. Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and proven IT skills, with the ability to adapt to new technology.
  3. Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent communication skills, including oral and written presentation.
  4. The ability to provide a high level of client care and work independently, with a 'can do' attitude.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Preferably claimant orientated, with proficiency in Proclaim Case Management.
  2. Experience of Infant Approval Hearings and Stage 3 hearings, with a positive approach to working under pressure.
Personal Attributes:
  1. Self-motivation, good interpersonal skills, and a methodical approach to tasks and problem-solving.
