We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Repair Engineer to join our engineering team at our Depot in West London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our fleet of equipment is maintained to the highest standards, meeting both company and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Workshop Service Manager in the effective management of the Depot workshop, ensuring that machines under repair are maintained at manageable levels.
- Undertake routine and complex repairs to machines at depot, ensuring conformance with manufacturer specifications and company policy.
- Work with the depot team to minimize the quantity and duration of machines under repair, in line with depot Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide exceptional customer service, acting as an ambassador for the company and ensuring a high standard of care and politeness at all times.
- Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, utilizing our company's engineering system/application.
- Update the system on machine status changes, including Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), Periodic Health Inspection (PHI), and statutory inspections.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety standards and policies, serving as an ambassador for the company.
- IPAF Operator Licence.
- Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience in completing complex engineering repairs.
- Mature outlook and ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
- Understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
- Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics fault finding.
- Ability to use basic functions of the operating system (L-Vis) to complete tasks relevant to the role.
- Ability to complete basic company administration processes in line with the role.
