Position Overview

Matchtech is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Facilities Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional facility solutions through innovative product implementation, technological advancements, and enhancements to existing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the feasibility of new facilities and processes, overseeing projects to ensure adherence to budget, quality, and timelines.
  • Support facility operations by aligning capabilities and capacities with program milestones and production needs.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies and cost assessments for proposed new or modified facilities and processes.
  • Design effective engineering and lean layout solutions to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the management and development of Health, Safety, and Operational Risk Management protocols.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful transition of new or modified facilities.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing and other Engineering teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Provide Manufacturing Engineering support for troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain facility documentation in accordance with Manufacturing Engineering standards, facilitating internal and external audits.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional New Equipment Procurement Teams throughout all project phases.
  • Monitor project-based KPIs and provide weekly reports to the departmental manager.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience in Facilities Development and Engineering, particularly in process conveyor technologies.
  • A solid understanding of reliability and maintainability principles, along with the environmental implications of engineering solutions.
  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in managing suppliers and project budgets.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and tools.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and during shutdown periods.
  • Experience in delivering Facilities Management solutions across diverse industries and regions.
  • Strong contract and performance management skills.
  • Experience in supplier selection and tender management.
  • An understanding of electrical control systems related to automated and conveyor equipment.
