Key Responsibilities:

  1. Attend New Product Introduction (NPI) project meetings to assess production impact and advanced planning.
  2. Drive continuous improvements in productivity to maintain and improve Cost of Goods (COGs).
  3. Collaborate with purchasing to ensure the right sources of material, at the right quality and cost.
  4. Work closely with suppliers to ensure components are designed and manufactured to the correct specification and quality requirements.
  5. Collaborate with the Site Production Manager on efficient production planning processes.
  6. Manage production Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), run-in, and run-out of materials and processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Experienced Manufacturing engineer with electrical/electronic experience; PCBA and Box building knowledge would be a distinct advantage, including management of production test equipment.
  2. Understands technical drawings and Design for Manufacture, including DFMEA, Control Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  3. Able to translate engineering drawings into easy-to-understand and use production information.
  4. Line balancing skills, including process flow analysis and takt time planning, 5S.
  5. Experience of leading Value Added Activities (VAVE) for both process and purchasing improvements.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills, use of Root Cause Analysis (RA) and Corrective Action (CA), 5Y, 8D.
