Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Novogene Europe. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our research and development activities by conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experimental Design and Execution: Design and execute laboratory experiments to support research and development activities, including sample preparation, testing, and data analysis.
  • Sample Management: Manage and maintain accurate records of samples, including accessioning, tracking, and inventory control.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, including automated high-throughput liquid handling machines.
  • Quality Control: Ensure compliance with quality management systems and health and safety procedures, including ISO 17025:2017 and ISO 15189:2023.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, engineers, and technicians, to achieve project goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, biotechnology, or similar subject.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of laboratory experience, preferably in a research and development environment.
  • Skills: Strong teamwork ethic, high accuracy and attention to detail, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Advantages: Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), PCR, qPCR, and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)-based analysis.
