Project Surveyor Job Description

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join our team. As a Project Surveyor, you will be responsible for undertaking project management duties on allocated projects, including pre-contract, contract phase, and post-contract activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake project management duties, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Manage supply chain partners, ensuring quality, safety, programme, and costs are met.
  • Lead defined projects and manage capital investment schemes, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Gather relevant information, including site surveys and preparing specifications to prepare tender documents.
  • Assist in evaluating tenders to ensure the most advantageous contractors are selected.
  • Ensure all relevant statutory regulations are adhered to across the project.
  • Assist in managing and monitoring allocated budgets, ensuring expenditure is on target and meets the requirements of the delegated authority.
Requirements:
  • Relevant HND/HNC construction qualification, e.g., building surveying, quantity surveying, or architectural.
  • Project management experience in a property or contracting context.
  • Knowledge of appropriate industry legislation, including Building Regulations, Party Wall Act, and Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations.
  • Sound experience of writing specifications and obtaining quotes/tenders for work.
