About the Company:


Interaction Technical collaborates with a prominent manufacturer of Agricultural Engineering Equipment located in the Dorset area to enhance their engineering workforce.

In response to business expansion, our client seeks to recruit an electromechanical field engineer to service, maintain, and repair a variety of agricultural machinery in and around the Dorchester area.


Benefits Package:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £30,000-£40,000 based on experience, with an OTE of £45,000-£50,000+
  • 32 days of paid leave including bank holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Overtime available at 1.5X during weekdays, and double on Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • Holiday overtime compensation - paid in May (£1,500 paid last year)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precisely diagnosing faults, servicing, and executing emergency repairs on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, balers, etc.)
  • Traveling to client locations to ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
  • Conducting diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues on agricultural and horticultural equipment
  • Working independently at customer sites while collaborating with colleagues to ensure accurate documentation and optimal solutions.
  • Engaging with engines, batteries, and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Communicating with clients to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with hydraulics, along with mechanical and electrical skills (essential)
  • Background in the agricultural sector (essential)
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault diagnosis, repair, and servicing (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Valid UK Driver's License
